| Inside Mount Application |
| 1. Check for Proper Mounting Depth |
| |
Inside mounts require a minimum window depth to properly mount a blind or shade. If the depth of your window casing is not
equal to or greater than the minimum mounting depth, you will need to measure for an outside mount application. The following charts list our
cellular shades mounting depths based on cell size and which lift you plan to order.
| Standard Lift Headrail |
| Minimum Inside Mounting Depth | Flush Inside Mounting Depth |
| Essence 1/2" Single Cell | 1 1/4" | 1 1/2" |
| 1/2" Single Cell | 5/8" | 1 7/8" |
| 3/8" Single Cell | 5/8" | 1 7/8" |
| 3/4" Single Cell | 5/8" | 2 3/8" |
| 1/2" Double Cell | 5/8" | 2 3/8" |
| 3/8" Double Cell | 5/8" | 1 7/8" |
| Specialty Lift Headrails |
| Minimum Inside Mounting Depth | Flush Inside Mounting Depth |
| Continuous Loop Clutch | 7/8" | 1 3/8" |
| Premium Lift Clutch | 1 1/2" | 2 1/8" |
| Deluxe Cordless | 5/8" | 2" |
The Inside Mounting Depth is the minimum depth required to mount the product shown as inside mount. This depth typically
allows for enough space for the brackets to be mounted, a portion of the blind or shade may protrude from the window opening.
If you want the blind to be fully recessed inside the window opening then you will require the depth found in
the "Flush Inside Mounting Depth" column of the table. Note that you need to factor obstructions such as window cranks, handles and other
items inside the window opening into your depth measurement.

| 2. Measuring the Window opening |
| |
|
Width Using a steel tape measure, measure the exact width of the window opening in at least THREE (3) places: top,
middle, and bottom. Take the smallest of the 3 measurements (down to the nearest 1/8th inch) and write it down. This is the width you will order. DO
NOT MAKE ANY DEDUCTIONS, the factory will make the appropriate deductions to provide proper fit and operation.
Height Measure the exact height from the top inside edge down to the window sill/window bottom in THREE
places: left, middle, right. Take the largest/longest of the three measurements (up to the nearest 1/8th inch). This is the height you will order.

| Outside Mount Application |
| 1. Where to Measure |
| |
Width
Wall Mount: Using a steel tape measure, measure the width of
the window (left to right). If possible, add at least 3" to this measurement to ensure maximum light blockage. This exact width size will be
your width, no deductions will be taken by the factory so make sure you give the exact width of the area you wish to have covered.
Trim Mount: Measure the exact width of the trim, edge to edge, from the left side of the window trim to the right side of the window
trim. You will also want to make sure the top section of the trim is level so your window treatment hangs
properly.
Height
Wall Mount: Measure the height of the window (top to bottom). Based on the product and/or lift type you plan on ordering you will need
to add to this height measurement. View the 'Minimum Outside Mount Surface Area' Chart to determine the minimum mounting space you will need.
Take that value and add at least an additional 1 1/2" to it for bottom light coverage, then add this value to your measured height. You may
add more to the measured height as you see fit to minimize any light gaps.
| Minimum Outside Mount Surface Area (for proper bracket placement) |
| Standard Lift Cellulars | 3/4" |
| Continuous Loop Clutch | 1 1/4" |
| Premium Lift Clutch | 2" |
| Deluxe Cordless | 1 3/8" |
If you want to preserve your window view, you will want to have your blinds stack completely off the window when it’s fully raised. To do this,
you will need to add the approximate stack height value from the table below to your Height measurement.
| Approximate Stacking Height for 3/4" Single Cell and 1/2" Double Cell Fabrics |
| Height | Standard Lift | Premium Lift | Deluxe Cordless |
| 48" | 1 5/8" | 3 1/8" | 3 3/4" |
| 72" | 2" | 3 1/2" | 4 1/8" |
| 84" | 2 1/8" | 3 5/8" | 4 1/4" |
| 96" | 2 1/4" | 3 3/4" | n/a |
| Approximate Stacking Height for 1/2" Single Cell, 3/8" Single Cell and 3/8" Double Cell Fabrics |
| Height | Standard Lift | Premium Lift | Deluxe Cordless |
| 48" | 2 1/4" | 2 7/8" | 3 1/2" |
| 72" | 2 3/4" | 3 3/8" | 4" |
| 84" | 3" | 3 5/8" | 4 1/4" |
| 96" | 3 1/4" | 3 7/8" | n/a |
Trim Mount: For the height on a trim mount, measure the trim's outside edge from top to bottom. Make sure the top trim provides a
flat, solid space that has at a minimum the required space shown in the 'Minimum Outside Mount Surface Area' table for proper mounting.
Note: If you have a window sill that protrudes at the bottom of the window, adjust your height measurement so the blind rests on the sill.

| French Door Mount (Order as Outside Mount) |
| 1. Where to Measure |
| |
When ordering select Outside Mount and give the exact measurements that you want the blind to be. Make sure you avoid any obstructions such as door handles or window cranks and allow for proper window
light coverage. We also a recommended to order hold downs to prevent your window treatment from swinging around when you open and close the door.
Width
To minimize light gaps, measure the width of the glass pane and add any additional space that is free from obstructions. Try to add at
least 2" to the width, 1" on each side past the glass pane.
Height
Measure the height of the window glass and add at least 2 1/2" at the top to allow room for mounting hardware and 2" below the bottom
of the glass to ensure proper coverage and to allow for the hold down brackets to be mounted. The total height addition should be at least
4 1/2" to allow for proper coverage.
