The top down bottom up provides a way to raise the shade from the bottom up, the traditional way, plus it also allows for the shade to be lowered from the top down to allow light in while maintaining privacy.

Product Description (Cordless Top Down Bottom Up Single Cell Blackout)

This 1/2" single cell blackout cellular shade comes standard with the cordless top down bottom up lift. This popular lift combines the two most ordered options in cellular shades: cordless and top down bottom up. The cordless option provides an easy and effortless way of raising and lowering the shade. Cordless shades are also child safe providing worry free use. The top down bottom up option provides a way to raise the shade from the bottom up, the traditional way, and to be lowered from the top down to allow light in while still providing privacy. The blackout cellular material prevents light from passing through it making it ideal for bedrooms and media rooms.

Due to child-safety regulations, the Top Down functionality is limited to lowering a maximum of 50% of the shade height

Brackets are top/ceiling and back/wall mount only. Brackets cannot be side mounted. Brackets are metal and silver in color
Easy to maintain - requires only occasional dusting or vacuuming
Cordless cellular shades must be lowered beyond the desired height and then raised back up slowly to the desired height so it remains there and to prevent spring back (the shade raising on its own)
If your installation prevents you from lowering the shade beyond the ordered height, then you should not order a cordless cellular shade
Cordless cellular shades will be made to a longer height than ordered, this is required to help prevent the spring back effect. Do not reduce the ordered height to compensate for this adjustment, or the shade will not function correctly
To maintain optimal performance of the cordless mechanism shade function, lift and lower your shade through its full range of motion, fully up and down, every day if possible.
All factory measurements and deductions can have a ±3/16" variance
