Headrail Options
Standard Headrail
Headrail

Standard headrail configuration also referred to as a 1-on-1 headrail, meaning there is one roman shade on the headrail.

[$45.93 $25.26 (w/coupon)]

Allows two independently operated roman shades to share one common headrail. Ideal for large window openings that will benefit from the increased light control of two shades. In addition two smaller shades are easier to operate than one large shade.

Up-Ended Headrail

Standard headrail orientation. This option is perfect for the majority of roman shade mounting situations.

The headrail is rotated 90 degrees, switching the depth and height measurements. This allows the shade to be mounted in a smaller depth window opening for an inside mount. This option is not required for the majority of mounting situations.

Mount Type
Inside Mount Illustration
Mount Type

The shade is mounted inside the window opening for a clean, tailored look. When selecting the size of your blinds, enter the exact dimensions of your window opening. Do NOT enter the size of an old/existing blind. The factory will make the necessary deductions for a proper fit. Please make sure your window meets the minimum inside mount depth required to accommodate the brackets, or the flush mount depth if desired. Depth requirements can be found on the product page.

The shade is mounted on the wall or window trim outside and above the window, covering an area larger than the window opening. Outside mount is required if your window opening is not deep enough to install the blind as an inside mount or if you want to make your window appear larger than it is. When measuring your blinds make sure to adjust the size for proper overlap.

Controls
Hidden Cord Lift
Lift Type

Lift cord is located behind the shade, providing an uncluttered and elegant appearance. Shade is operated with a cord and is held in place with a standard cord lock mechanism.

[$40.91 $22.50 (w/coupon)]

Lift cord is located in front of the shade for easy operation. Shade is operated with a pull cord and is held in place with a standard cord lock mechanism. Includes a 6" valance to conceal the control mechanism.

[$82.39 $45.31 (w/coupon)]

The loop cord will stay at the same length regardless of the position of the shade. Pulling the cord in one direction will raise the shade and pulling the cord in the opposite direction will lower the shade. The cord is positioned behind the shade for a clean appearance on inside mount shades. On outside mount shades the cord is to the side and front of the shade and the shade will include a valance with side returns that hides the lift mechanism from view. For outside mount shades the headrail will be 1" wider than the ordered width. Inside mount shades do not require a valance. Eliminates the traditional dangling cord, adding child safety and a neater appearance.

[$69.55 $38.25 (w/coupon)]

Top down bottom up provides a way to raise the shade from the bottom up, the traditional way, plus it also allows for the shade to be lowered from the top down to allow light in while maintaining privacy. Includes a valance to hide the controls during top down operation. Outside mount shades will have a valance side returns. For outside mount shades the headrail will be 1" wider than the ordered width. Shade is controlled by two lift cords: left side lowers the top down, the right side lifts the bottom up.

[$46.20 $25.41 (w/coupon)]

Clean, stream-lined and contemporary, the premium cordless lift allows you to raise and lower your roman shade without a pull cord. Push or pull the bottomrail to effortlessly raise or lower the shade. Ideal for homes with children or pets, the cordless lift completely eliminates the dangling cord hazards of traditional cord-controlled lifts.

Note: Only available with Bermuda, Captiva, Donnington Damask, Greek Key, Harrison Stripe, Imari, Kitani, Lexi, Meta, Moorea, Polaris, Rain, Raw Silk Crepe, Regal Square, Silkara, and St. Moritz fabric collections.

Shade Styles
Flat Fold Style
Shade Style

The flat fold is also referred to as the waterfall style and it is the standard shade style. It is a simple, elegant, tailored design with no horizontal seams. This tailored style is an excellent choice for fabrics with large scale patterns that look best without interruption. When fully extended the entire pattern is displayed. Tack stitches used to attach the cord rings are visible on the face of the shade. When first installed this style should be pulled up fully and left in place several days to create "pleat memory".

[Free - no extra charge!]

The pleated fold is also referred to as either a classic fold or a plain fold. It has a structured contemporary look that requires minimal dressing. Stay pockets on the back of the shade create pleats which look great with most fabrics. The pleated fold stay pockets will interrupt fabrics with prints and is not recommended for geometric patterns. This shade stacks very efficiently due to the stay pockets.

[$51.20 $28.16 (w/coupon)]

The soft fold style is also known as a hobbled or looped fold. The soft flow of this style is created by hobbling the face fabric onto the lining at regular intervals. This creates cascading soft folds at 6" intervals. While still tailored, this style has a wonderfully soft feel. The flexibility of this style lends itself to use with all kinds of fabrics from more heavy, full-bodied to softer, more lightweight. Note that when using a pattern with a large repeat, the pattern will be interrupted at each pleat/fold.

[$51.20 $28.16 (w/coupon)]

The bottom sides of the shade curve upward when the shade is raised. This softens the entire look of the shade as the fabric gathers in random soft folds. Small tack stitches used to attach the cord rings are visible on the face of the shade. When first installed this style should be pulled up fully and left in place several days to create "pleat memory". The sides of the shade may give an inward curve referred to as a hourglass effect, this is normal and is not considered a defect. This shade style takes manual adjusting to achieve the desired effect. It is not recommended for frequent use, but more as a decorative shade.

Note: Shades over 60" wide will have two European folds of equal size.

Shade Liners
Standard Light Filtering Liner
Liner Type

The light filtering liner is a basic light weight fabric made from 70% Polyester/30% Cotton blend. The liner is stitched to the back of the shade fabric and protects it from the sun while providing a neutral color to the outside. Available in white (recommended) and ivory (may give the shade fabric a yellow tint).

[+10%]

The thermal sateen privacy liner is a medium weight light filtering fabric that is 100% cotton with a 1 pass acrylic foam with rayon flock backing and has a smooth sheen finish. It provides protection from both heat and cold while also protecting your interior from UV rays which could lead to fading. Available in either white (recommended) and ivory (may give the shade fabric a yellow tint).

[+10%]

The room darkening liner blocks out up to 95% of incoming light. The lining has excellent drapability and is pinhole resistant due to woven construction. The fabric is a luxurious triple cloth 100% polyester with a woven-in blackout lining. Available in white only (woven-in blackout lining gives a slight grey appearance).

[+25%]

The premium black liner blocks 100% of incoming light from passing through the liner. The fabric is heavy-weight 100% cotton with a 3 pass acrylic foam with rayon flock backing. Recommended for blackout on less opaque, light colored fabrics. Available in white only.
